  • Chris Lawton:

    Dear Reverend,

I am keen organist and organ enthusiast.

I have a particular interest in organs built by the Compton organ Company and understand St Andrews Church to be one such example.

My reason for writing is to see if it would be at all possible to arrange a play on the organ at St Andrews? I would of course be happy to pay any charges or give a donation.

A bit about me – I have been playing the organ for 20 years and am organist and steward at St Marys Methodist Church, Handforth. However, I am originally from Wolverhampton!

    Every blessing,

    Chris Lawton

  • Nick Armstrong:

    Dear Chris
I’d be very happy if you’d like to play it – and to arrange convenient time with one of the churchwardens.
See ABOUT US >(drop-down)>WHO’s WHO? for St Andrew’s churchwarden details. I’ll tell Ann and June to expect a call.
    Happy Christmas
    Nick

  • Chris Lawton:

    Hi Nick,

I am going to be in Shropshire on SATURDAY 24TH MARCH to play a Compton ‘electrone’ organ that day so was wondering if a visit to play your Compton pipe organ at 12pm on that same day at St Andrews would be possible for a maximum of one hour?

    Every blessing,

    Chris

  • Nick Armstrong:

Good to hear from you again Chris.
Best idea is to contact St Andrews’ Churchwarden Ann Lee or deputy June Purchase – see Who’s Who page.
I’ll fwd your post to them so they expect a call.
    Happy playing and God bless.
    Nick
